Find your ring size

The Printed Tape-Measure

Download our free ring sizer guide to find out your ring size at home.

Print to scale on A4 paper, you can check the document is printed to scale by measuring the 5cm line once printed. Cut around the dotted lines to reveal your finger sizer. Make a slit in the sizer where shown, and wrap the band sizer around your finger, with the end of the band poking through the slit you made. The sizer should fit comfortably around your finger, take care to ensure it is not too tight. Make sure you can remove the sizer over your knuckle. The letter indicated by the “Ring Size” in the slit indicates the ring size you will need.

This guide is for indication purposes only, and should you have any questions please get in touch with us directly and we will be happy to assist you in any way.

ring gauge for life

The Jewellers Method

This is a plastic versions of the metal ring gauges seen in jewellers. With a d-shape profile and in sizes A to Z+6, including half sizes.

Use the gauge to measure your finger, if the ring you choose feels to snug as you are trying it on, do not keep pushing it over the knuckle. Stop and try the next size along. Do not rush trying to find your size, as you may start to make your finger go a bit red and this will make it puffy and slightly swell. The plastic rings are easily detachable from the rail, once you have found the ring size you are happy with, we suggest detaching this ring and wearing it to see how comfortable it is. To get an accurate feel of the size, you can try wearing it throughout the day or for a few hours depending on if you are purchasing an everyday ring or a ring to be worn on special occasions.

Our fingers generally swell/contract 1-3 whole sizes during rigorous or strenuous activity. We do not recommend sizing, after you've been exercising or in extreme hot or cold temperatures.

UNDERSTANDING Jewellery science

Methods, Factors & Accuracy

There are so many methods used, to find the measurement of your finger and it is important to understand, that these are only guides. Whilst some are more accurate than others, there are a lot of factors that will affect the size of your finger and subsequently, the size your ring needs to be. Even though it is not rocket science, inaccurate ring size measurements can cause a lot of problems, so we like to call it …. jewellery science.

For an accurate measurement, it is important to remember that ring sizing, is about the whole finger, not just the part where the ring sits on your finger.
