9ct Yellow Gold Love Knot Beaded Snake Necklace

This estate necklace is crafted in 9ct yellow gold, featuring a love knot and 5mm round shaped beads. The necklace is complemented with a snake design chain and secure lobster clasp, with a length of 17” and drop of 55mm.

Initially used as a healing charm, its roots can be traced back to Ancient Egypt, but it later gained its significance through Ancient Greek mythology. When Hercules used the knot during his ninth labor, to retrieve Hippolyta's girdle. Over the centuries, the knot has transformed into a beloved token of love and a protective amulet, frequently incorporated into the girdles worn by brides. Jewellery Care Precautions:

Avoid direct contact with: perfume, lotions, skincare, hairspray / other chemicals. Remove, your jewellery: when showering, swimming (as both chlorine and saltwater will react with metals), washing your hands / using hand sanitisers, before going to bed or when participating in physical activities (going to the gym, exercising, gardening, housework etc….).

Beware, metals may tarnish over time due to oxygen contact and natural body oils. Prevent items from being exposed to moisture and direct sunlight, for long periods. Store jewellery in a dry place away from humidity, in a pouch/jewellery box and keep each piece separated from each other. Care, for your jewellery by cleaning with a soft dry cloth.
